Biography
Ahmed Medhat Zaki, graduated in 1983, had Master degree in Surgery 1987 and MD degree in 1991 from Ain Shams University, Cairo, Egypt. Attained a Diploma of Laparoscopic Surgery in 2002 from Louise Pasture University, Strasbourg, France. He is currently Professor and Head of Pediatric Surgery department at Ain Shams University. He is the president of the Egyptian Pediatric Surgical Association EPSA. He has an international training and work experience in Tokyo, Glasgow, Melbourne and Cairo. He in addition to his clinical work had educational posts over his career with a administration post as chief executive officer in the biggest national insurance hospital in Egypt (Nasr city Hospital). He attended and chaired cessions in over 70 international conferences, with presentation and publications in many reputable pediatric surgery journals. He is member of the promotion committees for Pediatric surgery for both of the ministry of High Education and Azhar education. He also an examiner in the undergraduate and postgraduate degrees of Ain Shams University, and a member of the board of examiners in all Egyptian Universities and Egyptian fellowship for Pediatric Surgery.
